Grand Opera House - Baby Grand , Wilmington, DE

Multi-award winning band Club Phred will perform with the legendary Felix Cavaliere and the horn section from “The Late Show with David Letterman” on Friday, October 29, 2021, 8 p.m., in The baby grand, in the Edith & Alexander Giacco Building at 818 Market Street, Wilmington. Reserved seating is $50 and all proceeds will go to 501(c)3 Stop Solider Suicide.

“With the sudden exit from Afghanistan, there are more expectations of soldier suicide than ever before,” Brian DiSabatino, representative of 22 in 22/Stop Soldier Suicide, said. “Since the exit from Kabul, Stop Soldier Suicide has seen its weekend call rate increase over 100%. We must act now to get our Veterans the help they so desperately need.”

Cavaliere’s illustrious over 50-year career includes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, Grammy Hall of Fame and Musicians Hall of Fame. Early in 1965, Cavaliere formed the ‘Young Rascals’ with Dino Danelli, Eddie Brigati and Gene Cornish. Signed to Atlantic Records, and now called The Rascals, the mega hit “Good Lovin’” struck No. 1 in February 1966. They followed suit with hits like “I’ve Been Lonely Too Long,” “Groovin’”(No. 1 in 1967), “How Can I Be Sure,” “A Girl Like You,” “A Beautiful Morning,” and “People Got to Be Free” (No. 1 in 1968). The Rascals are considered the best ‘blue-eyed soul’ group to come out of the 1960s, as well as one of the groups with the most record sales.

Club Phred is a member of The Delaware Rock and Roll Society as well as a multi-award winning seven piece band helping to raise in excess of $5,000,000 for 47 charities since 2004.

The Baby Grand requires proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event for entry into its theater. Patrons, volunteers and staff are required to wear a mask indoors regardless of vaccination status, unless they are actively eating or drinking. Donations are also accepted.
